How AZ counties got their names

How did Arizona's counties get their names? That's not a bad question. My first thought was, "Duh, they're named for Native American tribes, or at least the Spanish name for those tribes." But then I remembered Graham and Pinal and La Paz and Greenlee counties, and decided I'd better look into this.
